I ran across Freds obituary almost a year after his passing and am deeply saddened at the loss of such a good man. I am forever indebted to Fred as he was the one who hired me into General Electric in 1974 as a field engineer and, so aside from meeting Virginia, it was one of the best decisions of his life. We also co-owed the sailboat that won the Mayors Cup in 1990 (that is a correction from what appeared in his obituary). I have attached a picture that appeared in the Plattsburg paper the next day. We used to chuckle that we got more coverage than Martina Navratilova winning her 9th Wimbledon. Virginia - my deepest condolences at your loss. It was an honor to have known Fred and wish for you and your family the comfort in all the wonderful memories of your life together.
