Obituary of Robert I. Roslund

Please share a memory of Robert to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Niskayuna-Robert Roslund passed away May 15th with his family at his side. Bob was born March 12, 1947 to Ruth and Iver Roslund of Locust Valley NY. After graduation from Locust Valley High School, he attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where he earned a Masters in Civil Engineering. He was owner of Carpenter - Roslund Inc., General Contractors and a Licensed Professional Engineer. Bob was a member of The Niskayuna Reformed Church, served on the Board of Girl’s Inc., volunteered at MathCounts competitions, and was a past member of Grand Boulevard Fire Company. Always enjoying the out doors, he and his wife Pat were members of the Adirondack Mountain Club kayak group enjoying weekly outings on the Hudson and Mohawk rivers. They also spent many days in the Adirondacks playing golf and Kayaking. Bob is survived by his wife of 53 years, Patricia, children Heather Roslund (Robert Meyer), Holly Boginski, Robert Roslund, Jr. (Rebecca Mulyca), granddaughter Alexandra Mulyca, sister Cynthia Robbins (Wilfred), and several nephews and cousins. Our family would like to acknowledge the kind compassionate care he received at Albany Medical Center during his last week. The Doctors, Nurses and PCAs, were professional and caring and provided excellent care and comfort during this difficult time. A visitation will be held on Friday May 20th from 3 PM to 7 PM at the Jones Funeral Home ( inside Cannon FH) at our new location, 2020 Central Avenue, Colonie, NY. Funeral service will be private at a later date. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Adirondack Mountain Club 814 Grogginess Road, Lake George NY 12845 or Niskayuna Reformed Church 3041 Troy Road Niskayuna NY 12309.
