I am so sorry to hear of Rebecca's passing. She was a special "Tai Chi" friend at the Niskayuna Senior Center, always upbeat no matter what, and was more concerned and caring to all rather than her own ills.
I remember urging her to get a handicap parking tag so she wouldn't have to trek up and down the hill from the parking lot, but she'd say, "Well, somebody else may need that more than I do." And I was so privileged to see some of the wonderful artistry of her rugs. A very special, remarkable woman. I treasure her memory, her sweet smile, twinkly eyes, and the jaunty way she wore her hats.
With sincere condolences to you all and wishes for your comfort and peace.
Love,
Joanne Westervelt

Rebecca was such a special friend. While I was her Silver Sneakers Instructor, we shared a connection so much deeper than client/teacher. Rebecca was always concerned about my sons, their health conditions, how they were doing in life. She knit a blanket for my oldest when he was in the hospital, stayed up one night to make me a blanket before my surgery, made a beautiful assortment of cookies and breads for me for the holidays, all while enduring her own health issues. Rebecca was the most selfless, amazing woman and I regret not being able to spend more time with her. She will always hold a special place in my heart. Her memory will definitely live on and I will never forget her beautiful smile and laugh. With Love, Lisa Galvez

To David and family, Rebecca was a treasured participant in our JCC fitness center's exercise classes. All who knew Rebecca will miss her cheerful and friendly ways, always so positive no matter what health concerns she was having. She did share her physical challenges with us, and we hoped she would overcome them as she usually did. Please accept my condolences upon the passing of a such a beautiful woman. We will miss her. Truly yours, Carolyn Meyers, a JCC class friend.
