Am sorry to hear Dr. Vermilyea passed. I worked at GE CRD when he was one of our metallurgists. Always a polite caring individual and cared about our group. He was a great co worker who always had time to share ideas and knowledge. A real great man indeed. It was an honor to work for him.. My thoughts and prayers go to his family. Don Wemple

It was my privilege to know David during his time at Kingsway Village. He and my mother shared a table in the Village dining room, and I would often dine with them. David had many great stories to tell about his Adirondack adventures, and was kind enough to listen to my much less dramatic tales. At the Village, he was well-known for his daily walks (at least a mile every day) even in the coldest weather. A great member of the Greatest Generation.

I'm sorry for your husband's passing. While I didn't know him, Mrs. Vermilyea was my third grade teacher, and when I saw the obituary, the name jumped out at me. The education I received at Niskayuna was a foundation for where I was able to go in life. Thank you to your family for being part of that. My condolences on the loss of your father, grandfather and great-grandfather. May his memory be for a blessing.
