My condolences on the passing of John. He was a dental patient of mine for many years. He is remembered as a kind and gentle person. He had a great sense of humor and brightened our office with his funny comments. I especially remember that he couldn't wait to light up his cigar upon leaving the office, after having his teeth cleaned shiny and bright. John will be remembered in my prayers. I met John shortly after he became the director of the Schenectady Group Homes for the NYS Division for Youth, and over the years we spent a great deal of time together working with the youngsters and their families. He had a great sense of humor, a passion for sports, and he was dedicated to the youth and families with whom he worked. He was missed by many when he left our agency and headed off to Ocean City, but we were all happy for him. I recall many pleasant and laugh filled conversation, both on and off the job, and I will remember him fondly. Just a great guy who did a superb job. Richard Sheridan
