Obituary of Ann S. Reilley

Watervliet- Ann S. Reilley passed away peacefully at home on November 7^th 2021. Her loving husband Francis V. Reilley predeceased her after 59 years of marriage.  She was the mother 6 children. Peter (Jayne), James (Denise), Carol R. Deere, Mark (predeceased) (Maggie), DeeDee (Mark) Wyche, Kevin (Beth). Eleven grandchildren and 2 great grandsons. Predeceased by her son in-law Richard Deere.

She was born May 11, 1923  in Cleveland OH,  graduating from the Francis Payne Bolton School of Nursing (Case Western Reserve) as a Registered Nurse. She spent her nursing career at St Clare’s Hospital in Schenectady. Her compassionate care of her patients  and wonderful sense of humor was appreciated by all. In retirement she volunteered for the Elite Repeat boutique to continue her support of St. Clare’s hospital. She was a nurse throughout her life – whether delivering shots or changing dressings for her wide circle of friends!

She loved baking, quilting, her garden club and spending time with her family and friends. Her motto was: To have friends, you must be a good friend!

She will be interred beside her husband at the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, N.Y.

Visiting hours will take place on Thursday, November 11, 2021 from 1-3pm followed by a prayer service at 3 pm at the Jones Funeral Home 1503 Union St, (at McClellan St.),  Schenectady, NY.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Community Hospice, Inc of Albany, NY.
