We just learned of Allan's passing from Brad. Allan was a frequent visitor to our restaurant and we enjoyed his company immensely. I have so many very old memories of Alan... when he catered my daughters at home wedding, and Christmas parties at my neighbor's. His food was so delicious the manager at the Van Dyke, where we later went for dinner, asked if something was wrong with the food. Everyone had enjoyed what he prepared for us at home. Our history together goes back so many years. I attended Allan and Carol’s wedding as a teenager and continued to stay in touch with Alan through the years. He styled my hair for every prom and special event I celebrated. He was a wonderful family friend and my parents loved him too. He took such good care of my mother when she became ill and always made special arrangements to do her hair. Allan showed kindness and generosity to all. He was a lovely, sweet man. I was so very sorry to learn of Allan's passing. We had been pals since we were both residents of Schaffer Hts. Apts. He had such a great sense of humor plus the attitude of caring a great deal for all he came into contact with. I know that he is out of pain now & heaven has gained another angel.
