Fred had to be one of the kindest people I have come across, I met Fred through the EAA chapter in marathon, I didn’t know him very well but he was always so eager to help me find information on scholarships and anything else that I needed, he will be missed.

Fred was a regular at Fish Tales Market and Eatery in Marathon. We called him Mr. Bratwurst because he loved our homemade brats. I had to give him a call whenever George made a new batch. He was one of our favorite customers and we were so sad to hear of his passing. He was one of the good guys snd we will miss his smiling face. George made a new batch of brats yesterday in Freds memory.

Our prayers go out to the entire Fink family as Fred truly was a kind and great man who served all very well in his role at FedEx. More importantly he was a caring individual and had time for everyone. He truly will be missed and my family and I are so appreciative of all the kindness and great service that he provided--a very special individual. Blessings!

Fred was a friend to all, especially every dog in our Grassy Key neighborhood. He always carried a supply of dog treats on his daily, late afternoon 2 mile walks, and was truly beloved by his canine comrades. Fred had a wry sense of humor and was a repository of knowledge, especially in the realm of aviation. I always enjoyed our conversations and his views on both current and historical events.
Fred will truly be missed by many people in Marathon.
Pam, Bill, & Charlie Brown, Grassy Key

We were blessed to get to know Fred through his uncle-role to Jessica and Darin and their family. Thanksgivings at Nancy's home were made more special with his story-telling (and carving the turkey). Because of his generous spirit we even got to enjoy some Memphis BBQ he sent to us. We, too, will greatly miss him.

I first met Fred at the EAA 1241 museum in Marathon , FL. It was right after Irma had destroyed our Museum. I was cleaning up and working to get the museum back together. He just jumped in and helped me . We worked many days to get it in shape. I was in a flying club and had Fred join. He later became president of club. We flew many hrs. together. I learned more about aviation from Fred than any instructor I ever had. Rest In Peace Brother

I first met Fred on the Albany ramp in the early 80’s. Later, at our Newark hub, and in Memphis as Fred was a highly valued member of the management team at our headquarters. Always the consummate professional, gregarious colleague, and just a great guy to hang with, the world of aviation has lost a true eagle. My deepest condolences to all of Fred’s family!

Words cannot express the loss so many of us feel without Fred here on this earth to make it brighter each day. But, Fred loved to fly and I am sure the angels recruited him quickly to be watching over all of us. Deepest sympathy to all of Fred's wonderful family. Thank you for sharing him with us!
