Audrey M. Culora 90, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at the Baptist Health Center in Scotia. Audrey was born July 22, 1924 at 1092 Willett St., Schenectady, the daughter of Thomas & Charlotte Hane of Schenectady N.Y
. Audrey graduated from Nott Terrace High School. She also served in the Navy as a Wave during World War II. Audrey was a long time member and Deaconess of First Presbyterian Church in Schenectady. She was a homemaker and enjoyed many years of traveling with her husband and family. She was a wonderful, loving woman, mother, grandmother and mother-in-law and will truly be missed. You knew her wonderful spirit whether you were an old friend or you just met her. The family would like to thank Baptist Health Center and their staff for the wonderful care and support they gave to Audrey over the years. We would also like to thank the First Presbyterian Church for their many visits and flowers Audrey always enjoyed.
Audrey is predeceased by her husband, Joseph T. Culora, her brother, Leroy Hane, brother in law Isadore Culora and sister in law Carmella Culora. She is survived by three sons, Wayne (Kathy) Culora of Halfmoon, Wyatt Culora of Schenectady andWesley (Kerry) Culora of Glenville. Her loving sister-in-law, Patricia Culora of Ballston Spa, also survives her. Audrey is survived by her grandchildren, Nicholas (Justine) Culora of Stillwater Chelsea Culora ( Frank Adamec) of Stillwater, Alexander Culora of Halfmoon & great-grandchild Finley Culora. Also, Ryan Nielsen of Schenectady, Jill(Chris) Marks of Burnt Hills, Joshua Culora of Scotia & great-grandchild Krystal Nielsen, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call, Thursday October 2nd from 5 PM to 7 PM, at the Jones Funeral Home, 1503 Union St.. ( at McClellan St.), Schenectady. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3rd at First Presbyterian Church, 209 Union Street at 10:00am. Burial will be in Saint Anthony's Cemetery, 27 Glenridge Road, Glenville, NY.
