Tom Andriano of Rotterdam passed away peacefully at Baptist Health and Rehabilitation Center on Friday March 5, 2021 following a long illness. He was 78.
A life long resident of Schenectady he graduated from Mont Pleasant High School and served in the US Army where he received a Good Conduct Medal and a Expert (Carbine); sharp shooter (Rifle); Basic Mslmn badge.
He retired from The Golub Corp. as a Meat Cutter.
An avid Yankee fan, he was proud to coach for the Northside Little league as his
Kids played and later on for The Lady Patriots at Schenectady High School.
Tom enjoyed the simple life spending time with his family, especially their Friday night coffee time at Mike and Bernices or sitting and chatting with his pal Howie under the gazebo on the warm days of summer, and hanging out on the porch with the Taylor Street crew drinking coffee on the best summer evenings, camping seasons at Arrowhead and fishing, (even if he hardly ever caught a fish). When he could, he truly enjoyed visiting Casino to play the penny slots and was often seen sitting in his car in front of Stewart's doing his scratch offs, one of his most favorite pass time's. He has been and will be truly missed by his family and so many long time good friends.
Tom was predeceased by his parents Gaetano and Carmella (Giaquinto) Andriano, his brothers Pasquale and Michael Andriano and his sisters Frances (Fritzi) and Concetta ( Connie).
He is survived by his wife Denise Olsen.
