Obituary of Leslie A. Pritchard

Rotterdam Leslie A. Pritchard, 84, of Kellar Avenue, passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021 peacefully in her home. Born on June 16, 1936 in Schenectady, NY, she was the daughter of Richard Bruce and Veronica A. (Boudreau) Altemus. Leslie attended Delanson High School and received her BS as a Registered Nurse at Russel Sage College. She worked most of her career as an orthopedic nurse retiring at age 74. She enjoyed traveling with her husband prior to his death in their RV camper. She continued to enjoy traveling to Massachusetts after his death. She leaves daughter Lori (Brian) Pritchard –Sheridan of Amsterdam, and two sons Karl (Sara) Pritchard of Schenectady and Eric Pritchard of Parish, NY; two grandsons: Benjamin and Russell Pritchard. She is also survived by her two siblings Mary Lynne (Lyndy) Brantley, and John Adair Altemus. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her three brothers Richard Bruce Altemus, Frederick William Altemus and Edward Patrick Altemus. Calling hours will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Wednesday, January 6 at Jones Funeral Home, 1503 Union Street, Schenectady. A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm Thursday, Jan 7 at the family plot at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna. Donations to the Animal Protective Foundation, 53 Maple Ave., Glenville, NY 12302, may be made in lieu of flowers. Due to Covid masks and social distancing will be observed.
