I was distressed to learn of Joe’s death. Ever since he took my class at Rockefeller College we’ve stayed in touch, and he was indeed an indomitable spirit. Through ups and downs he always looked forward to a new project, another course, yet another opportunity to volunteer and work for the betterment of others. I will miss him. Paul Castellani
