Dear Lisa and Babcock family, Please accept my sincere condolences on the death of your mother, Suzanne. My name is Melissa Carman. Your Mom and my mother, Joanne Carman, grew up together in Port Huron, MI and were friends since before kindergarten. Mom loved telling people that she had a friend who was her age that she had known for over 95 years. They enjoyed phone calls and sending funny birthday cards for many years. Last Christmas Suzanne's card was returned to Mom's assisted living in Atlana, GA and we feared the worst, especially since Mom could not get an answer when she called her phone. I searched obituaries in Schenectady for several months but could find nothing. Mom died April 18, 2019 at the age of 101and 3/4 after a brief illness. One of the last lucid conversations I had with her on April 8 was about what had happened to Suzanne and how much she would like to talk with her. Little did I know until I came across your mother's obituary sometime later that she died that very day. Our mothers were certainly exemplary representatives of the Greatest Generation and were a testament to long lasting friendship. Their families will never forget them. May they rest in peace. Greetings Family of Suzanne I. Sheldon, I am so sorry about your loss. Although I don't know you or Suzanne at all it still pains me to lose anyone to death. I find comfort in the words mentioned in Revelation 21:4 which states " And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away". One day, there will be no suffering, no more death, and we will see those we lost to death again. If you would like some more information about this I recommend JW.org. Love, Sara

Hello, Lisa, I met your mother when I joined the Rosendale Garden Club many years ago. She introduced herself and told me that she was the godmother of my brother-in-law, Bill Niedrach. She was a lovely, interesting and gracious lady and I always enjoyed speaking with her. I am sorry for your loss, and Bill's. Nancy Stopera Niskayuna
