I volunteered in the Rosendale library for several years when my son was a student in that school and I was privileged to see Mrs.McElligott in action when the students came to the library for their instruction. Later, when I needed to get a "real" job, she agreed to serve as one of my references. She was warm, kind and friendly and she passed her love of books on to countless children. What a wonderful legacy!
