Greetings Family of Wallace M. Campbell,
I am so sorry about your loss. Although I don't know you or Wallace at all it still pains me to lose anyone to death. I find comfort in the words mentioned in Revelation 21:4 which states " And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away". One day, there will be no suffering, no more death, and we will see those we lost to death again. If you would like some more information about this I recommend JW.org.
Love,
Sara

We remember Wally as a very humble man and a wonderful Christian brother. He was very helpful to both of us when we were at First Presbyterian Church. He answered my (Denis) questions when I was seeking membership many years ago. Always a gentleman and wonderful example of a Christian. He would look you in the eye, shake your hand, and treat you respectfully. He will be missed very much by many.

Lois and I share your sadness on the passing of a sincere friend who was like a part of the extended Brainard family. Mr. ("Ed") Brainard considered Wally almost as his son since the Brainards had no sons. The oldest Brainard daughter, Jean, was a roommate at Wheaton College of Ruth, which further deepened the Brainard ties with Wally and Ruth. I looked on Wally as a friend with a smile who could be depended on for help whenever needed. We sorrow even as memories of Wally cheer our hearts.

Wally joked that he was taught to be a teller at the Rotterdam branch of the Savings Bank by my mother, Levia Ames. That was the beginning of a wonderful friendship that was deepened by their love for Jesus and worship together at First Pres. In my mother's later years, my brother Craig and I had no worries about her finances because Wally was taking care of it. That loving care together with regular visits showed the care of a godly man and life-long friend. Our family is deeply grateful and I have been blessed to know a truly giant of the faith.

It was truly an honor to call Wally a friend. When my wife and I moved into Kingsway Wally was someone we made immediate contact with. He was always such a joy to be around at the village. A warm welcoming personality to greet in the halls, dining room etc. I always marveled at the range of his accomplishments throughout the community. The angels in heaven must certainly be rejoicing and welcoming their brother home. May he rest in peace.

Wally is the type of individual we all aspire to be like. If the Lord granted a wish for the planet, I would wish for more people like Wally Campbell.
