Dear Tupper family,
I was so sorry to read about Lee's death in the Gazette the other day. When I started working at GE in 1966 as a programmer/engineering assistant in the Analytical Engineering Department, Lee was one of the first people I was introduced to. He was a gifted engineer, and always encouraging us "girls" to learn new methods and further our education (and have some fun along the way). He was a great guy to work for and with. I hadn't seen in him years, but have always remembered him with respect and fondness.

Marylois, Shirley, Nancy and Ron,
We are saddened with the passing of your husband and father and know, with you, that he is in a far better place. These last days, and months, have been difficult for him and for all of you, and we offer our sympathy and condolences.
Lee was a uniquely talented person in so many unique ways. Always fascinating to examine the product from his mind and his battery of basement tools. Always a pleasure to listen to his wisdom. And we could look forward all year to his annual Christmas letter.
Thank you children for the good influence you had on our children as you were growing up. What a privilege it has been to be your next door neighbors these last 58 years! What a great family!
The Maughan family

Shirley, Jim and all of your families,
We are so sorry for the loss of your father, father in law, grandfather, and great grandfather and everyone else that he was connected with in his life. I met your father once or so, but didn't really get to know him. Obviously he was a multifaceted man with many talents and will be missed by many folks.
God Bless all of your families and safe travels to all.
Love,
Stan and Jane Smeed

To the Tupper family:
I was sorry to read of Lee’s passing in the Daily Gazette. I first met Lee Tupper in 1984 when he was the MVP Board Treasurer and I was assigned by my CPA firm to do the 1983 audit. I continued to work with him on the audits of 1984-1987. From 1988-1997 I worked as MVP’s Chief Financial Officer and was in regular contact with him throughout that time. I have had the very good fortune and privilege of knowing Lee. He is one of the finest people I have ever known. It was a pleasure to know and work with him.
I also had the very good fortune and privilege of knowing Marylois. She is also one of the finest people I have ever known. After I left MVP, Lee recommended me for the Conference Treasurer position In the Troy Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church where Marylois was a very active volunteer on a number of committees, including the Finance Committee. I worked with her from 1998-2006. Like Lee, it was a pleasure to know and work with her.
Both Lee and Marylois made the world a better place just by being there and being themselves.
I will not be able to attend the service on Saturday as I have a morning flight to visit my brother and his wife. The entire Tupper family will remain in my thoughts and prayers.
