Obituary of Louis P. LaTorre

Louis P. LaTorre passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Ellis Hospital. He was 93.

Born on June 27, 1925 in Chieti, Italy, son of the late Salvatore and Bernice LaTorre. He is the husband of the late Maria Cieri LaTorre.

A veteran of the US Navy he enlisted in 1943 and was honorably discharged February 18, 1946. He worked for St. Clare’s Hospital as supervisor of housekeeping. He also owned and operated a barber shop on Route 7. Louis was also an avid bowler and played the guitar, accordian and sang locally. He was a devoted family man and loved his dog, BJ.

Survivors include his daughter, Anna Maria LaTorre, his sons, Frank (Holly) LaTorre and Nicholas LaTorre, as well as two grandchildren.

He is predecased by a daughter, Laura LaTorre.

Calling hours will be from 6-8:00pm on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Jones Funeral Home, Inc., 1503 Union Street, Schenectady. Funeral Mass will be conducted at 9:00am on Friday at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, 1255 Pleasant St., Schenectady. Burial will be in the family plot in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Schenectady.
