Obituary of Audrey D. Lansley

Schenectady -  Audrey York Lansley 87, formerly of Colonie, NY, Ocala, Fla, and Schenectady, died suddenly at the Schenectady Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing on Friday August 24, 2018.

Audrey was born July 10, 1931 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, a daughter to the late William H. York (d.1947) and Irene Beaupre York  Dimoro (d.1992), and her late step father Charles J. Dimoro (d.1984)

In 1948, after the death of her father,  Audrey and her mother Irene, immigrated to the United States settling in Albany, NY.  Audrey married Albert F. "Bert" Lansley in 1948 and they made their home in Colonie where they raised their five children.

For over 25 years, Audrey worked for the South Colonie School District as Head of Food services for the elementary schools.  Upon retiring in 1993, Audrey and Bert moved to Ocala, Florida.  In 2002, after the death of her husband, she moved back to the area living in Colonie and then Schenectady.

Audrey is survived by her children, Kathleen and Anthony Peppin of Loudonville, Brian and Kathleen Lansley of Niskayuna and Scott and Susan Lansley of Mooresville, NC., her sisters-in-law Helen York of Ottawa Canada, Shirley Ewing of Las Vegas, NV and Barbara Birdsall of Loudonville, NY as well as many nieces and nephews.  Audrey was blessed with 15 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Audrey was predeceased by her husband Albert F. Sr. her sons Albert F. Jr. (d.2004), David A. (d.2014), infant twins William Y.H. and Gilbert H. (d.1954) and her brother Gilbert R.York (d.1987).

As per Audrey's request, there will be no services.

The family would like to thank the wonderful Doctors, Nurses, Aides and her grand-daughter in-law Shannon, at The Schenectady Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing for the loving care they provided Audrey during her stay.
