I am so grateful to have had the pleasure of knowing Bernice and being welcomed by her into the family over the past five years. I will always remember the extraordinary love that was present in her home when we would visit, and how clearly cherished she was by everyone in the family. She amazed me with her strength, and had me laughing with her carefree humor :). It was an honor to know her, and I know she will be deeply missed by all.

Afew years ago I heard Bernice had a heart attack. To my surprise shortly thereafter I saw her outside pulling weeds, and cleaning up the debris in the yard and driveway. We often met at her mailbox when she was getting her newspaper and I was walking my dog. She was the best neighbor ever! We will all miss her greatly. To her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, our thoughts are with you. Tia & Dan Scully
